How Studio Octopus uses and protects the information submitted with a project enquiry.

Data collected
Use limited
to your enquiry.
The form collects your name, email address and project description. These fields are required: without them, Studio Octopus cannot identify or answer your enquiry. Your company name and attached brief are optional.
A brief may contain plans, imagery or documents you choose to submit. It is checked for file type and size, then sent to the studio. Please do not submit sensitive or personal data that is not necessary for reviewing the project.

Purpose & legal basis
Reviewing your enquiry, preparing an estimate or commercial discussion and providing necessary follow-up. Processing is based on pre-contractual steps taken at your request or, for a general enquiry, the studio’s legitimate interest in answering it.
Recipients
Data is available only to authorised studio personnel and, where necessary, technical hosting and email providers. It is never sold or rented.
Retention
An enquiry that does not lead to a commission is kept for no longer than three years after the last contact. If a commission is agreed, relevant data is retained during the contractual relationship and then archived as required by applicable law.
Security & transfers
Reasonable measures restrict unauthorised access, disclosure and loss. If a provider involves a transfer outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must be covered by safeguards required under applicable law.

Your rights
Access, correction,
erasure or restriction.
You may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or object where that right applies. You may also request portability where the legal conditions are met.

If you believe your rights have not been respected after contacting us, you may submit a complaint to the French data protection authority, the CNIL ↗.

External services load only when their function is required.
Language & country
On the first visit of a browsing session, the website queries Country.is solely for the country code associated with the IP address and selects the French or English version. A manual FR/EN choice is then stored for the session and takes priority. Country.is states that it does not log requests. Studio Octopus does not install advertising cookies by default.
YouTube showreel
The privacy-enhanced YouTube player loads when you open the showreel. YouTube may then process data under its own policy.
360° tour
The Net-fs-hosted tour loads when you choose to open it. The external service may then receive technical information required for the experience to operate.

The website does not maintain a public prospect database and never publishes submitted briefs. Any commercial communication separate from answering your enquiry must respect applicable rules and your choices.
